I am Achangoh Josaiah Abeche. I had my advanced level in 2010, and later proceeded to University of Buea where I studied Agricultural Economics at the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary medicine from 2010 -2014. From then, i engaged myself in Agricultural entrepreneurship until 2019 when I later enrolled in a Professional Master’s program in Crop production at the University of Buea from 2019 – 2021.
Immediately after my Master Degree in 2021, I pick my first temporal Job as a market monitor for the Norwegian Refugee Council NRC in Bamenda III, after which I had another temporal job as a field enumerator for Reach out NGO whose head quarter is in Buea, Southwest region of Cameroon under the World Food Program (WFP) project. Here, I Participated in the Data collection for the targeting of people vulnerable to food Insecurity in the NW Regions using the phone app called ODK.
Organized community meetings, mapping to identify the structures and services available, helped the internally displaced persons in the NW region especially women and children, Maintain a good working relationship with the local and administrative authorities, Participated in the establishment of beneficiaries list and Prepare weekly Operational Plan and detailed weekly Program of Activities because I was a Team leader and had to organize and control my team toward the attainment of our goals and objectives while in the field.. Still in 2021, i worked with Plan Cameron as a Post Distribution Monitor PDM participated in the Data collection for PDM of beneficiaries both cash transfer and food items where we conducted the households, adults and adolescents’ interviews and also Prepare weekly Operational Plan and detailed weekly Program of Activities.
In 2022, I had a contract with NRC as one of their Social Worker/Community Mobilizer (livelihood and Food Security) for Bamenda III which span for a duration of 12months. Where I Under took training on how to monitor market food prices in Bamenda III, Conduct and actively participate in food nutrition, attended water safety and food safety seminars , Collect feedbacks from beneficiaries on project activities, Mobilizes beneficiaries prior any training or activity, Distributes and collect e-voucher cards from beneficiaries, and then Submit monthly progress reports,
Lastly, in late 2022 and early 2023, I have worked in 2 WFP projects as an enumerator for the WFP Data collection on Comprehensive Food Security, Vulnerability and Nutrition Analysis in Cameroon carried out by MINADER under the Auspices of WFP and also took part in the most recent targeting of March 2023 for WFP in the NWR of Cameroon.
