As r0g_agency for open culture and critical transformation we are proud
and honored to have a partnership with ADISI to strengthen the
#defyhatenow initiative against social media hate speech and online
incitement to violence. #AFFC - the African Factchecking Fellowship
Cameroon, a key #defyhatenow training programme being run and developed
by ADISI, is an exemplary contribution to active peacebuilding through
the strengthening of media literacy skills. In today's volatile media
charged world, where influence on local events and crises comes not
just from within the country but from anywhere there is access to the
internet, the programme's work is a model for identifying fact from
fiction and disinformation, not just in Cameroon, but for the rest of
Africa - and beyond!

I have really enjoyed working with ADISI Cameroon in the past two years. The organization has established a reputation for itself as the foremost advocate for freedom of expression, access to information and accountable governance in Cameroon.
ADISI creates engaging and timely content and its innovation and creativity in using various platforms to draw attention to critical issues in the country is outstanding. The responsiveness of the staff and their ability to quickly turn ideas into practical and impactful projects makes working with them from a funder’s perspective, very rewarding.

l¹Afrique.

ADISI-Cameroun continues to do excellent investigative journalism work on the challenges facing Cameroon today. The organization’s coverage of the country’s conflicts and governance challenges effectively uses a statistics-based approach to demonstrate the true impact on citizen’s lives. The ADISI website’s fact-checking section and the organization’s continued trainings for journalists on fact checking has raised awareness to disinformation in the Cameroonian media landscape. ADISI has also become a leader in Cameroon on the Open Government initiatives to revolutionize citizen’s relationship with the government and increase transparency from the local level to the national government. Finally, the organization’s engagement with international organizations, media outlets, foreign governments, and domestic stakeholders are a testament to ADISI’s ability to raise awareness of the critical issues facing Cameroon both domestically and internationally.
